Magic Sintra Tour, Portugal
Discover Sintra and explore the beautiful forests, luxurious palaces, and pristine beaches. On this tour, you will get to know the places that make Sintra the magical place it is. In 1992, UNESCO classified Sintra as a World Heritage Site, and you are welcome to visit this gem of Portugal! The tour starts with one of the most mysterious places in Sintra: Quinta da Regaleira, a place connected to Freemasonry that looks like a fairy castle — a place that you cannot miss and that you will want to discover over and over. In Parque de Monserrate, you visit the palace with a mixture of Arab and Indian styles and the botanical garden. There is a brief stop to taste the traditional pastry of Portugal, but don't tell anyone, it's a surprise!
From here, we will cross a part of the forest to the village of Colares, where you can visit the beaches of Sintra and even get your feet wet in our waters. We will continue along the coast until reaching the westernmost point in Europe, Cabo da Roca. After enjoying the scenery, we will ascend the mountain again, cross our mystical forest, and visit the Moorish castle, which walls were built in the era of the Islamic occupation. Finally, we will move to the royal palace, the Pena Palace, which was under construction at two different times and served monks and then a King of Portugal.
You can go inside the monuments (considering the closing time) or take exterior pictures if you want to stay outside. This may change the estimated time for the end of the tour.
