Please note: On foot, you will walk about 4 km (2.5 miles). Be sure that you are ready for this and that you have the proper shoes (not open).

The ambient temperature may be over 30ºC (86F) from May till October.

Altitude same as in Tbilisi 350 m (1150 ft). Travellers should have a moderate physical fitness level. There’s no bad weather, just poor clothing. Nobody is responsible for the change in weather conditions; choose the best day of departure based on research.

The dirt road is not in the best condition and it can be the cause of motion sickness. It's recommended to bring personal medications.

Everyone walks at different speeds. The guide could be in different parts assisting the group.

Davit-Gareja cave monastery, an extraordinary site with fantastic semi-desert landscapes, is located 100 km southeast from Tbilisi in the Kakheti region, and it was founded in the 6th Century by David (St. David Garejeli). The complex of temples stretches for several kilometres in the southeast of the country and along the border with Azerbaijan.

The David Gareja Monastery is unique due to the fact that many of its buildings are cut into a huge tilted rock. In addition to the monastery of St. David, we will also visit the monastery of John the Baptist (Natlismtsemeli monastery) where some caves preserve millenary frescos.

Get ready for a hike across rough terrain along the mesmerizing rainbow mountains and Mravaltskaro lake too. The walking route lasts approximately 4 km (2.5 miles). Perfect for hiking in all seasons. We show you the best views of colourful mountains and you will be really amazed! We guarantee!

On the way back we will make a stop for lunch at the famous Oasis Club in the Udabno village (not included in the price). And before Tbilisi, we will visit a winery where you can taste Georgian wines.
