Horseback Riding in Corfu

As of the most beautiful animals, horses are also very calming to human nature. This is your opportunity to get closer to this majestic animal. Once you have been picked up you can sit back and relax and enjoy a short trip through the Corfu countryside to the stables. The stables have been established for more than 20 years and have an enviable reputation for safety and enjoyment. The owner’s love for animals cannot be doubted, you will be introduced to the horses, dogs and cats. Eleven horses are suitable for beginners because of their quiet nature and good manners, but are also spirited enough for the more advanced riders. The riding begins in a beautiful wooded area full of oak trees, once out of the woodland there is a striking view of the village of Ano Korakiana in the distance. In twenty minutes you will arrive at the village of Ano Korakiana to wind your way through the quaint houses and semi-rural landscape. The ride then continues for another 40 minutes through olive groves, along wide dirt tracks, passing vineyards, and pastures of grazing goats and sheep. Upon arrival back at the stables cold drinks are served and you will be able to see how much care is taken and how much work is involved to keep the horses in perfect condition. After every ride, the horses are untacked, showered and fed. You can bring apples or carrots as treats for them, if you would like.

Departure: daily. Includes: air-conditioned vehicle transfer to and from starting plece, an  instructor, two-hour horseback ride, refreshments. Optional: meals. Minimum 1 person. 

Please note: For comfort and safety, we ask that you ride in long, comfortable trousers, a T-shirt (or similar) and full shoes, not sandals or flip-flops, however the stables can provide the correct clothing if necessary. A good selection of hard hats are available. We strongly recommend you to wear a hard hat when riding.
