On the first part of our trip, we will sail along Sorrento's coast to learn about Marina Grande, a beautiful fishing village, an ancient Roman villa, and a waterfall that the Romans used. The ambiance of Sorrento's former life as a fishing community can still be found in this charming neighborhood.
We will arrive at Capri and the Blue Grotto in around an hour. The Blue Grotto is the most well-known of all the attractions that Capri has to offer; it gets its name from the blue color of the water, which is caused by the refraction of light. The blue glow of the water is caused by sunlight that penetrates the cave from below a rock lip located near the entrance. The rock lip only extends into the water a few feet from the top of the water column. The Blue Grotto is the most well-known sight on the island, and visitors to Capri should only consider their vacation complete once they have seen it.
