Ipanema Hippie Fair Guided Tour

The tour takes you to the Hipppie Fair or Feirinha de Ipanema, as locals prefer to call it. Held every Sunday at Praça General Osório, the fair has evolved from a small gathering of hippie friends, selling their art and crafts, to the open market where local artists and craftsmen feature and sell their works. Accompanied by a multilingual guide that would assist you in negotiating the best price, as local sellers usually don't speak English, you will find at the fair hand-made accessories, ceramic figurines, embroidery, lace, gemstones, and many more. Besides the arts and crafts, food stalls with traditional food are also available.
