"Soft Coasteering - Portinho da Arrábida" is an experience for those who are looking for strong emotions in the paradise of the Luis Saldanha Marine Park ! Soft Coasteering, or in other words "Fly Into Water", is a multi-disciplinary activity as it includes trekking, swimming, caving, a little rock climbing and sea jumps: in fact, many jumps into the crystal clear waters of the Serra da Arrábida seashore.

This stunningly beautiful place will not leave anyone indifferent. Tall hills, similar to mountains, are dressed in dense Mediterranean vegetation, the sun, the proximity of the ocean, elevation changes - all this created a special climate on Arrábida, which is compared with the Adriatic coast. If you climb to the very top along Serra da Arrabida, winding serpentine roads, breathtaking panoramic views open up.

From one coast of the Atlantic Ocean, on the other - a plain, on the horizon of which one can see the outlines of a hill of another reserve - Sintra-Cascais And of course, the pearl of Serra da Arrabida of the territory of Serra da Arrabida is a small bay called Portinho da Arrabida and its beach of the same name. The crystal clear waters make them a popular destination for diving and other sports enthusiasts.

Anyone can, under the supervision of an instructor, see the beauty of the underwater kingdom with their own eyes. True, due to the local current, the water is sometimes quite cool, so there is not a rich variety of inhabitants of the seabed, which is found in the tropics.

Toward evening, the beach belongs to seagulls. In search of something to eat, they roam the sand in flocks, not paying any attention to late-coming vacationers. Many are not even afraid to get very close to people. And daredevils can feed with an outstretched hand. But with any careless movement of the flock rises sharply into the air and sits at a safer distance.
