The only tour in Sintra with an experience of the main monuments in one day: Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. We will visit the Serra de Sintra or Mons Lunae as the Romans used to say. In Monte da Lua, mysticism persists to this day. We will start with a tour of the authentic fairy tale palace, the Pena Palace. Then we will walk through the narrow streets of Vila de Sintra and give you free time to have lunch and taste the typical sweets of the region (travesseiro) in the famous "Pirikita" patisserie. After lunch, we will go to Quinta da Regaleira, where we will take a tour of the Dedicated Spring and learn about the history of its exotic gardens, mysterious caves and Masonic architecture. We will cross the mountain, passing through the villages around it, and reach the Cape of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe.

Sintra, the "mountain of the moon", is one of the places shrouded in mystery and magic, where nature and man have merged in such an excellent symbiosis that UNESCO has included this city in the List of World Heritage Sites. Sintra is a city in Portugal, located on the mountain of the same name, 25 kilometers from Lisbon. At all times, these rich lands near the coast of the Atlantic Ocean attracted rulers and monarchs. But Sintra is not only a countless number of castles built on one or another mountain - not far from the city is the world-famous Cape of Rock (Cabo da Roca). And in the city itself you will find something to entertain yourself with - walk through museums, enjoy the old city or drink Ginjinha from chocolate cups.

The fantastic Pena Palace is one of the largest examples of 19th century Romantic revivalism in Portugal. The palace was built on Mount Pena on the site of the former monastery of the Order of St. Jerome by Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, who married Queen Mary II in 1836. Fascinated by the beauties of Sintra, the queen's husband decided to acquire the monastery and the surrounding land and build a summer palace for the royal family on this site.

Quinta da Regaleira is a place shrouded in mystery, and not much is actually known about it. But, we will try to solve a few mysteries, and most importantly, to understand whether this estate deserves a place on the list of “Best Sintra Attractions”.

Historical documents say that in the 17th century there was a fort on the cape, which was of great strategic importance. The fort guarded the approaches to Lisbon and was an important element of the defensive line of the coast, especially during the Pyrenean Wars. To this day, only the ruins of the fort have survived, as well as the lighthouse, which continues to fulfill its important function for maritime navigation.
