Truffle Hunting Tour

In the Italian regions of Langhe, Monferrato, and Roero, going through the woods in search of the black or white truffle is one of the most intense and exciting things you can do. Don't hesitate and try it out! The distance from Turin is 80 km.

Please note: truffles found during any hunt belong to the hunter. Children are not allowed. Any additional person is 15 Euro (maximum 4 people). Services of interpreter-expert assistant: 100 Euro per group.

Truffle hunting is available all year, weather permitting, but we recommend the following periods:

• Black Truffle: all year round except April and May.

• Alba White Truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico): October, November, December, and January.

A knowledgeable guide who has specialized in this activity for more than ten years now offers you a range of services so you can take part in this beautiful experience. The "Cerca," also known as the "true hunt," is led by a "Trifulau," also known as a "truffle hunter," with the assistance of his trustworthy and well-trained dog. From our starting point, the "Cerca" will head in the direction of the first available "Tartufaia" (truffle setting). The hunter will decide which route to take based on the customer's requirements. We recommend going on a hunt of this kind very early in the morning or late at night.
