To get access to the Colosseum, we will use a special entrance that is off-limits to the general public. Go through the Gate of the Gladiators and straight to the Colosseum, where gladiators battled in ancient times. While you are there, view the stunning Roman amphitheater surrounding you, where 60,000 screaming fans saw the champions fight their opponents to the death. From this vantage point, you can even make out the carved names of Roman nobility embedded into some of the seats on the arena floor. Prepare your cameras for action! After taking in everything to see on the arena floor, make your way up to the first and second decks of the Colosseum.
