Sevan is the largest lake in Armenia, and one of the most charming lakes in the Caucasus. This natural wonder is located in a huge thicket of mountains at an altitude of 1916 meters above sea level. The water is transparent and pure as, according to legend, only stars and gods drank from it.
It is necessary not only to learn the history, but also to get acquainted with the cuisine, in order to fall in love with Armenia.
Our first stop will be Hayrivank (IX century) monastery. Then we will drive to Noratus village, where in the cemetery are more than 800 cross-stones, which is the biggest number of cross-stones in one place.
Then you will visit a cheese dairy, where you will not only learn about the history of the farm but also will have a tasting of 10 kinds of drunken cheeses matured in wine or cognac.
