Jozani Forest and Butterfly Farm Tour

The Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island which is located in the western part of Zanzibar Island, just off Stone Town. It takes around 25 minutes by local boat riding from the Stone Town beach.

Join us for a tour to Spice Farms and experience the world of tropical fruits and spices. Zanzibar is also known as the “Spice Island” due to the variety of spices grown.

On this half-day tour through a spice farm, you will find out how various kinds of spices are grown and which parts of plants are being used for their production. You will learn that spices have medicinal use from your guide, also a professional herbalist. By using his extensive knowledge of the healing properties of spices and fruit, he has treated various health issues from simple flu to conceiving problems. Also, you will be treated with spice tea and taste a variety of fresh fruit. The tour can be done in the morning or in the afternoon.

Stone Town is a city of prominent historical and artistic importance in East Africa. Its architecture, mostly dating back to the 19th century, reflects the diverse influences underlying the Swahili culture, giving a unique mixture of Arab, Persian, Indian and European elements. For this reason, the town was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
