The territory of today's Montenegro has a large number of monasteries, churches and temples of various religious denominations. Montenegrins are very religious people, the majority of the population are members of the Orthodox religion. In this tour, you will visit three largest sanctuaries in Montenegro and find out interesting stories about relics (the right hand of John the Baptist, a peace the Holy Cross and the icon Philermos) in Cetinje Monastery, Saint Vasily in Ostrog Monastery, as well as frescoes of post Byzantine period in Morača Monastery. Also, in this tour, you will be able to see the historical part of Old Royal Capital Cetinje.

Itinerary:

Pick-up from your hotel. Driving towards Cetinje 45 min to 1 hour and 30 min, depending on the city of departure.

We will walk through the historical part of this town. We will visit the Cetinje Monastery, pass next to Ćipuri church, Biljarda, King Nikolas museum, the Presidential Palace and take a walk on the main pedestrian street approx. 1 hour.

Driving to Ostrog monastery approx. 1 hour.

Coffee break and/or breakfast at the restaurant on the way to the monastery optionally (approx. 30 min).

Arrival at Ostrog monastery. Free time for sightseeing of the Upper and Lower monastery. In the Upper monastery we will bow to the relics of the great Saint Vasily Ostroški and hear incredible tales of Ostrog miracles (approx. 1h and 30 min).

Driving to Morača monastery approx. 1 hour.

Free time for sightseeing and enjoying peace and enchanting ambience of Morača monastery approx. 45 min.

Lunch at the restaurant on the way to the place of accommodation optionally (approx. 1h). Return to your hotel. The end of the tour.
