Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai, South Africa

A qualified marine biologist will take you to the world-famous Shark Alley, the great white shark capital of the world. You will see firsthand the natural home of these incredible apex predators in a safe, comfortable environment. The marine biologist and expert crew members will show you where these mysterious creatures hunt and hide and explain to you how and where the sharks feed, breed and breach. You will learn how to distinguish male and female sharks, and how to identify a specific shark by its unique dorsal fin and scars. You will tour on the luxury boat 'Slashfin' in the company of experienced researchers, combining thrilling emotions with education.

Includes: cage diving, safety briefing, a guide (marine biologist), equipment (wetsuits, booties, masks, towels, life jackets, waterproof jackets), food (breakfast/lunch). Optional: transfer to and from Hermanus, transfer to and from Cape Town, video footage of the experience. Minimum 1 person. Please take with you swimwear, warm clothes, windbreaker, sport shoes, camera, sunscreen, sunglasses, anti-nausea medication (if needed). The trip will be confirmed 1 day prior to the date, as it is weather and tide dependent and launch times may vary. When traveling to Gansbaai, please allow enough time for the transfer from Cape Town (3 hours) and Hermanus (1 hour); there are roadworks en route, and the waiting time will be included in the tour's traveling time.
