The XIX century is the time of prosperity of noble estates in the Russian Empire. We will visit the 1801 manor of the nobleman Nikolai Durasov, the richest heir to the Ural factories, a great original and a bachelor.
Moscow has never seen such architecture. The cross inscribed in a circle is Durasov's palace with several exits to the estate park. Guests of balls could go through them to the nature to admire the ponds and just relax from dancing.
Having retired at the age of 32, Nikolai Alekseevich moved to Moscow and began to organize SUCH receptions and balls, about which the whole of the First Capital was talking for a long time. His estate was visited even by members of the imperial family, which was a sign of the highest respect.
One of his hobbies was theater, where serf actors showed on stage performances, and the Moscow public came to see them.
In Durasov's palace in the Lublino estate we will visit the inner rooms, see the luxurious interiors and household items of the nobility of the early XIX century.
As part of the excursion we will learn
what the architecture of the palace in Lublino means a cross inscribed in a circle;
why a large number of antique gods are depicted in the interiors;
how balls were held in the XIX century: what is the language of fans and flies, why girls needed notebooks, the rules of dancing and changing partners, what was considered decent and indecent at that time at balls;
what dishes were outlandish in the 19th century and what a gracious host treated his guests with;
how musical evenings were held and what Durasov surprised his guests with.
We will also visit the recreated theater stage: you will see with your own eyes how real machines creating the sounds of wind, rain and thunder worked, how it was possible to descend "from heaven to earth" on a cloud.
Of course, and famous actors and entrepeneurs among the serfs of Durasov were. Let's talk about their fates and influence on the theatrical sphere.
Who got all this wealth after the death of childless Nikolai Alekseevich? Let's find out the further fate of the palace on the excursion!
