This island is home to the Château dIf, the prison that inspired the classic novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
During the tour, you'll also have the opportunity to see the Calanques National Park along with the Calanques of Cassis and discover the secrets of this magical, protected region of rocky inlets. The skipper will drop the anchor in a calm cove and youll be offered a mini wine tasting course with Provencal wines and typical tapas from the south of France. You may swim, if you like, in a very safe area and snorkel with the gear provided aboard the boat.
In just one day, youll learn many things about the mythic maritime city of Marseille, from the local fauna and flora to the spectacular calanques, all while enjoying the sea breeze and the warmth of the sun.
