A daily walk around Gdańsk

Our sightseeing tour will introduce you to the history and life of cozy, Teutonic, gingerbread Gdańsk. The tour takes place on two alternating routes, which will cover the oldest areas of the city Main and Old Town. We have prepared two rich itineraries through the key places of Gdańsk. We recommend starting your introduction to the city with the Red Route, and the next day delving into Gdansk's history on the Blue Route walk.

Important to know:

• Tour reservations close 24 hours in advance.
• There may be more than 15 people in the group, as no tickets are purchased for children. Location and start time of the tour is the same for all participants.
• The tour is completely pedestrian. Along the way there are convenient stops and photo breaks with a favorable angle at the attractions.

The Red Route: The Golden Age of Gdańsk
This route will introduce you to the Glówny Mast: we will walk through the complex of city gates from street gates to water gates, admire the restored stone houses, and discuss who Gdańsk residents lived in them during different eras. We'll talk about the era of the Teutonic Order and why it was the heyday of Gdańsk. Let's take a look at the symbols of the city: the Town Hall and the Court of Artus, the Marian Cathedral and the Neptune Fountain. And on the embankment of the Motława River we will talk about the history of seafaring and trade in Gdańsk.

The Blue Route: From the Early Middle Ages to the 20th Century
On this route we focus on the times of Gdańsk before and after the Teutons. We will walk the streets of the Old Town, and talk about the role of Gdańsk in the lives of great scientists, philosophers, and writers. We will look at the oldest watermill in Europe and understand how it works. We will listen to the carillons of St. Katarzyna Church with a complicated history, we will look into St. Brigitta Church with an amber altar, we will see the oldest building in the city. You'll also learn to recognize Mannerist architecture and find out what the local post office building is notorious for.
