Halfway between Lisbon and Porto, another tourist attraction has opened. We are talking about four picturesque grottoes created by nature itself, and they are united by an underground river. From the beginning of August, a place called Soprador do Carvalho is available for excursions, which will be accompanied by local speleologists who have studied this miracle of nature inside out.
The tourist program was developed by a group of specialists from the Portuguese Speleological Association. According to its head Paulo Rocha, excursions to the Portuguese underground will be incredibly popular, because never before has the country's tourism business offered anything similar in scale and beauty.
