Stepping out of the beautiful building of the National Theater, you will immediately fall in love with the beauty of San José. Luckily, this city has so much more to offer, so there's still plenty to look forward to! We will take a private transport and drive to one of the oldest cities in Costa Rica, Escazu, famous for its creepy folklore associated with witches. On the way to the city of witches, you will see the La Sabana Metropolitan Park, which used to be the San Jose International Airport.
This guided hike starts in the mountain town of San Antonio, Escazu, throughout the hike we will enjoy stunning views and eventually reach the summit. You can just sit and enjoy the views.
After spending time admiring the surroundings and enjoying taking pictures, we will continue down the hill towards Bebedero, where we have private transport, to taste chicha, a traditional local drink that has been enjoyed for hundreds of years. Our drink will also prepare us for one of the coolest local traditions: Costa Rican masks and masquerades, and we will take you straight to the legends. We will visit the home of a legendary local craftsman, where three generations of the same family make some of the country's most beautiful masks for celebrations and special occasions. Here we will meet his creative genius and he will tell us about the family secrets of making the most famous masks in Costa Rica.
