Half-day Tour to Kalabsha Temple and Aswan High Dam, Egypt
An excursion to some of the most amazing places in Aswan! The High Dam and Island on Lake Nasser, where UNESCO has preserved a group of Nubian architectural monuments: the Kalabsha Temple, the Beit el-Wali Temple, and the Kiosk Of Quertassi, so crucial for the history of Aswan and Nubia.
You will begin your journey with a tour of the High Dam, considered the largest dam in Africa. It helps Egypt generate electricity and control river overflows. Then you will continue to Lake Nasser, the largest man-made lake in the world, formed behind the dam. By motorboat, you will visit three significant monuments that UNESCO saved from the rising waters: the Temple of Calabsha, the Temple of Beit El Vali, which preserved its original colors to this day, and the Kiosk of Quertasi, famous for its beautifully decorated columns. It all has a beautiful view of Lake Nasser, and most of the time, this place brings tranquility and peace.
