Full-day the Natural Beauty of Jermuk Group Tour in Yerevan, Armenia
While in Armenia, don't miss out on seeing one of the country's most famous monuments, the stunning Lake Sevan! Sevan is 1900m above sea level and an hour's drive from Yerevan, surrounded by a massive range of mountains. Aside from the breathtaking scenery, we will visit Hayravank Monastery, which is set on a high hill.
The journey will continue along the coast to Noratus, the world's most extensive collection of Armenian Khachkars — stone steles etched with a cross meant to show the route to redemption. It is said that Hayk, the ancestor of all Armenians, told his people to paint every stone in Armenia. Some of these decorated stones reflect different stories from various eras. Jermuk, nestled on a small plateau among the trees and mountains, is your next stop; the plain is divided into two halves by the Arpa river canyon. Jermuk is well-known for its ability to restore water. Jermuk waters were a popular therapy for various ailments for hundreds of years. The village is known for the beautiful waterfall that drops 72 meters into the Arpa River. The waterfall is also known as "Mermaid's Hair." Jermuk has a long history, but the modern town was created only in 1940, with the construction of the first sanatorium. Jermuk is now well-known for its elegant and comfortable sanatoriums.
