Nature and Culture Hiking Experience in São Luís, Portugal
Have a fantastic hiking experience in one of the most beautiful places in Portugal! Enjoy the charm of its picturesque scenery and dive into a region that seems to have been created for pleasure and happiness! The largest province in Portugal, the Alentejo, has incredible sights: from rocky mountains to beautiful beaches. It is a land of wheatfields, cork oak forests, wildflower meadows, and tiny white-washed villages and is also home to some of Europe's best coastlines: clean, sandy, and spectacular.
Our hike will connect two very special places: Nossa Senhora das Neves and Pego das Pias. The Hermitage of Nossa Senhora das Neves is a famous location close to Ribeira do Seissal de Cima. It is perched atop a hill and has a breathtaking view; here, you can still admire cork oaks that have become a rarity worldwide. The trail travels over ridges with verdant valleys and winding walkways, and the area around "Our Lady of Snowfalls" provides a good insight into Alentejo agriculture. After a lunch break at the local café, we'll take you to the wild and romantic natural bathing pools of Pego das Pias, framed by rock walls, and to the "sunset bridge," Ponte Sol Posto. Relish the land blessed with beautiful views!
