On the 4-hour bike tour, you will see the most prominent works of Antoni Gaudí, learning about the architect's life, passions, beliefs, way of thinking, and his source of inspiration that led him to create the most representative architectural works of Catalan culture. Notably, 7 of his works were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO between 1984 and 2005. The opportunity to discover the fascinating life of Gaudí would probably be the main reason to visit Barcelona. One of the most admired architects of the 20th century and the face of Catalan architecture, he is also known as God's Architect due to the many religious images that are featured in his works. While his work was inspired by his fascination with the Orient and neo-Gothic, naturalism and concrete geometric forms, Gaudí thoroughly considered every detail of his creations and integrated such crafts, as ceramics, stained glass, wrought iron and carpentry into his architecture. He also came up with trencadís, a new material processing technique that used waste pottery.

You will be able to immerse in a modernist artwork world, riding an ebike and getting great photographs with the renowned buildings in the background. The tour will take you through the Olympic Village, Barceloneta neighborhood, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà or La Pedrera, Royal Square and the Sagrada Familia Church. The most visited place in Spain with 3 million visitors per year, the Sagrada Familia was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005 and was the last project of the architect. Gaudí worked on it until his death in 1926, and his remains are stored on site. Even though it began in 1883, the grand construction is still in progress and is estimated to finish in 2026 or 2028 for the architect's centenary. Gaudí left behind plans and drawings of the structure, making sure that any architect could understand them and the construction would be possible even after his death. You will have an elaborate tour of Gaudí’s works, including his first projects, masterpieces and contributions to the city. Additionally, you will explore other relevant Modernist artwork from Spanish architects that had worked very closely with Gaudí, including Domènech I Montaner, Josep Puig I Cadafalch and Josep Fonserè. You will see Ciutadella Park, the result of collaboration between Josep Fonserè and Gaudí, as well as Montaner's Casa Lleó Morera and Cadafalch's Casa Amatller and Casa de les Punxes.

Highlights: the Olympic Village, Barceloneta neighborhood, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Royal Square, the Sagrada Familia Church, Ciutadella Park, Casa Amatller, Casa Lleó Morera, Casa de les Punxes.
