You will go to the famous GUM market, which has been around since the days of the USSR and is now thought of as Yerevan's unofficial central market. The market has a relatively large area where you can purchase a variety of beautiful fruits and veggies, dried fruits, lavash, meat, fish, eggs, and nuts — the best quality and all-natural!
The other market you will visit is Vernissage, it is located near Republic Square and extends to Vardan Mamikonyan's monument. The famed Vernissage market dates back to 1980, when Armenian painters sold their works. The artists then relocated to Saryan Park. The market gradually developed and became a market of national handicrafts in the open air, earning the French term Vernissage. There will be plenty of opportunities to buy gifts for family and friends and something for yourself. The journey will conclude at the site of your lodging. During the tour, you will also view other tourist attractions such as the Opera House, Republic Square, Cascade Complex, and many other great spots. You will also have the opportunity to visit the two leading brandy factories, Ararat Brandy and Noy Brandy. Visit those factories and be treated to brandy and wine tastings and a tour of the facilities.
