After a 3-hour drive, you will arrive at Pamukkale, also known as Cotton Castle, a natural site in southwestern Turkey. It is well-known for its hot springs and travertines, terraces of carbonate minerals. You will walk to the natural terraces that were formed by running warm water. Its temperature is about 32 degrees, and you could choose to swim in Cleopatra's Pool for extra cost. On top of the travertine formation, you will find the ancient Greco-Roman and Byzantine city of Hierapolis. Together with Pamukkale, Hierapolis is a popular tourist attraction and has been a World Heritage Site since 1988. During the tour, you will paddle on travertine terraces, enjoying hot springs mineral water. You will also visit the Necropolis of Hierapolis, the biggest ancient cemetery in the world, as well as the Roman Bath, Domitian Gate, the Main Street and Byzantine Gate. After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel at about 6PM.
