During this private tour with an official licensed guide, we will visit the largest Gothic cathedral in terms of occupied area in the world, talk about the Gothic style and the Spanish Plateresque style, about the general structure of cathedrals. We will enjoy the paintings and sculptures of the most famous artists and sculptors and the unique retablo, the largest in the Christian world. We will also see the burial place of the fifth part of Christopher Columbus, talk about this great discoverer, his biography and his expeditions.
Also during the tour we will see the Archive of the Indies (without an internal visit) and talk about the importance of Seville in the Hispano "American" relations of that time. We also have to visit the Alcazar - the eastern palace, partially descended from the Muslims, where the Christian kings later lived and it was rebuilt and enlarged. Here we will talk about another special Spanish style - Mudéjar, a mixture of Oriental style and Christian, especially Gothic. We will learn about how this palace was built, how kings lived here, namely King Don Pedro, the Catholic kings, Isabel and Fernando, Charles V and will certainly walk through their wonderful gardens-oases, where we can give food to the peacocks living here and carps.
Highlights: the Cathedral, the Archive of the Indies, the Alcazar, Mudéjara.
