Paris M. Gerouni was an Armenian professor and scientist in the field of radio physics, radio engineering and radio astronomy.
In 40 km from Yerevan, on the southern slope of Mount Aragats, at an altitude of 1700 meters, a unique device, better known in international scientific circles as Gerouni's radio optical telescope - ROT-54/2.6 - is installed. It is a spherical antenna with a double reflector with a diameter of 54 meters, combined with an optical telescope with a diameter of 2.6 meters. Such a system is the first and the only one in the world.
