The guide is an archaeologist, and he has lived in Sintra for as long as he can remember. As a local resident, he has accumulated knowledge and love for his land, which he now wants to share. He participated in the archaeological excavations in Sintra, where we discovered the treasures of past cultures. He is also a local guide and gives a lot of local advice to newcomers who want to enjoy this wonderful land. He came up with this tour thinking about offbeat places that tourists don't usually visit in Sintra because they are mostly known only to locals or are hard to find. This tour offers Sintra in its raw and authentic state away from the crowd with many past secrets to share.

We will start our tour with a meeting at the Sintra train station and continue to visit the ruined medieval village at the gates of the Moorish castle, where we will see the remains of an archaeological site wich is now an open-air museum with old buildings, graves sticking out of the ground, and a museum with many artifacts.

The second place we will visit is in the middle of the forest of Sintra, where an old chapel stands on top of a hill, known as an old place of pilgrimage where a miracle happened. Another ruined building can also be seen on this barren hilltop, this ruined church is based on the foundations of Portugal itself. Our journey will continue to this place on the hill, away from the crowds and mostly known only by the locals. One of the best views of the entire Lisbon bay.

The last place we will visit will be a curious one. After a 15-minute walk deep down in the Sintra Forest, another hilltop facing the westernmost point of continental Europe can be visited. The place, called Penedo de Adrenunes, gives us the Stonehenge vibes. Despite archaeological artifacts never being found here, it is believed that this place was used by our ancestors 5000 years ago.
