Experience a tour of the Apostolic Palace and the Pope's private apartments, indulge in a hands-on cooking class, lunch on the Pope's farm, and drive through the Barberini Gardens and historic center of this classic Italian hilltop town. Castel Gandolfo is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Since the 16th century, this has been the summer home of the Pope. It has a beautiful view of the azure-colored volcanic lake. Upon arrival at Castel Gandolfo, we will show you the palace and take you through the carefully manicured grounds of the Pope's summer residence. Then we'll move to the Pope's private farm, where you will cook divine meals throughout the day!

The Pope's farm is home to cows, free-range chickens, bees, and a sprawling vegetable garden. It supplies the Vatican with all the ingredients for the Pope's breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here, you'll meet your professional chef, who will greet you with antipasti and prosecco. You'll dive straight into learning the traditional methods of making authentic pasta and desserts, using all the fresh ingredients from Pope's farm. Your perfect Italian feast will be paired with local wines.

Next, we'll take you on a slow, scenic drive through the well-manicured Barberini Gardens. We'll see a Roman amphitheater and an imperial cryptoporticus, which was built by the crazy emperor Domitian in the late first century AD. Your wonderful tour will end with some free time in the town center of Castel Gandolfo. Before we take you back to Rome, we suggest you find a table in the piazza, order a last coffee or gelato (or both), and take a moment to remember this truly unforgettable experience.
