You'll walk around both "halves" of the city part of St. Lawrence and part of St. Sebald, named after the ancient churches of the same name. The tour route will help you understand not only Nuremberg itself, but also the life of the era in which the city was actively shaped in the Middle Ages. You will learn about the role of beer in the history of European civilization and the city in particular! You will discover how settlements like Nuremberg arose centuries ago, and how important even a river was to them. And see important city locations: the market square, which emerged as a result of calculated cruelty, the town hall, and of course the fortress wall and the medieval castle of Kaiserburg, where Nuremberg was born.

Old towns are a treasure trove of tales, and Nuremberg is no exception. It collected a bunch of strange, mysterious and curious stories that illustrate the thinking of medieval man, and just to acquaint you with the past. Believing the local legends, you will learn what "settled" the curfew, how one official justified his wealth, and why a wrought iron grille appeared around the "Beautiful Fountain". A separate topic will be the work of Nuremberg's foremost artist, Albrecht Dürer, who transferred the Italian Renaissance to German soil. We'll tell you why Dürer has been associated with plastic hares in recent years, take you to the master's half-timbered house, and tell you where in Nuremberg you can find the old medieval theme, familiar to everyone from Bosch's painting.
